Giving Tuesday

The world is facing more hardship and uncertainty than any other time in recent history, but through it all we’ve seen a tremendous amount of generosity and sacrifice on both an individual and communal level. Due to the kindness, selflessness, and concern shown by millions across the globe, we’ve saved countless lives and moved toward a brighter future. As Americans celebrate Thanksgiving this month, the nonprofit community is gearing up for another special occasion, dedicated to our combined spirit of altruism: GivingTuesday.

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. On the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, which falls on December 1st this year, hundreds of millions of people around the globe use their individual power of generosity to give, collaborate, heal, and connect. Given the events of the past few months, it’s even more important for us this year to use our collective energy to make an impact on our communities and protect the most vulnerable among us.

Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give. GivingTuesday strives to build a world in which the catalytic power of generosity is at the heart of the society we build, unlocking dignity, opportunity and equity around the globe. The Wonderseed Foundation is participating in GivingTuesday alongside thousands of other nonprofits, all of us working together towards this shared goal.
